Tabor Methodist Church: Mrs Pat Heynes led our worship recently when her theme was “Watching and Waiting”.

Pat showed how this is relevant to Advent and also in our life experiences – using one of her own recent ones, on a trip to Paddington, as an example. At the beginning of the Service Pat explained that the festive lights in Bethlehem would not be lit this year in memory of those killed in the recent conflict. The Methodist Church, along with other Churches, had decided to leave the 2nd candle of the Advent Ring unlit this year to honour this memory.

The Tabor Ringers visited Paulton Central Methodist Church to take part in the local area Ladies circles’ Carol Service, which they enjoyed very much and hope the congregation felt the same about their performance! The Ringers will undertake their last Christmas engagement this week when they have been invited to return to play for the residents of Combe Lea in Midsomer Norton.

Mrs Margaret West will lead a Carol Service, which will contain a mixture of traditional and modern Carols, on Christmas Eve at 3pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and to remain afterwards for festive refreshments.

We send Christmas Wishes and our hopes for a peaceful New Year to you all.
