Colleagues from Radstock Co-op’s Head Office have donated toys to Radstock Children’s Centre, to help spread the Christmas spirit to families who are struggling financially or are finding it difficult coping with the pressure of the festive season.

Instead of swapping Christmas cards and participating in the traditional ‘Secret Santa’ gift exchange, employees decided to purchase toys for parents to wrap and give to their children this Christmas.

A spokesperson said: “It is very rewarding shopping for toys which you know are going to make a huge difference to those who are currently facing challenging times. Our colleagues are to be commended for their generosity and goodwill!”
