Timsbury Theatre Group, based at the Conygre Hall, in Timsbury, have donated £600 to the local branch of Riding for the Disabled. The branch, based at the Wellow Trekking Centre, offer indoor horse riding experiences and lessons for children with disabilities.

Every year, members of the theatre group nominate a local charity whom the group supports at each of its performances throughout the year.

During 2013, Timsbury Theatre Group put on three productions, a play in spring time, as well as a summer entertainment evening and its annual pantomime just before Christmas. At each production, the group collects money for its nominated charity via raffles and donations.

Group Chairman, Jo Whittock, said: "Our audiences are always so generous towards our charities and we would like to thank all those who attended our production and for their kindness and support." Group members also stopped sending Christmas cards to each other and, instead, donated the money they would have spent to the charity.

TTG's nominated charity for 2014 will be the Bath Junior Gateway Club, a youth group that offers support and days out to disabled, disadvantaged and able-bodied children aged 7–18. The group will collect at each of its 2014performances, starting with their spring play, Habeas Corpus by Alan Bennett. The performances are from 8th to 10th April. Tickets are available from thettg.org or: 01761 470471.
