It was a fitting reward for someone who has masterminded a dramatic recovery in the club's fortunes, which has seen them finish in a healthy fourth place in the Somerset County League Division Two East, as well as reaching the League Cup semi-finals. The First Team only suffered three league defeats in thirty matches and conceded just 31 goals.
Club Chairman, Mike Passingham, paid tribute to Eatherden's efforts alongside his assistant, Russell Beveridge, but also said the work carried out by Kelvin Hancock and Joe Towells in the previous season to keep the club going should not be forgotten.
Eatherden thanked everyone for the great support the team had received throughout the season and praised the backroom staff at the club, especially Secretary, Martyn Sage. Eatherden's son, Jamie, received a Chelsea shirt from members of the First Team in recognition for his hard work.
The First Team's Players' Player of the Year for the second year running was Ben Hancock, with the Manager's Player of the Year going to Ben Ward. Ross Padfield won the Roy Lockyer Memorial Trophy as Supporters' Player of the Year.
Ellis Hancock won the Players' Player of the Year for the Reserves, with Manager Paul Cracknell's award going to Craig Ryder.
The Young Player of the Year was Joe Parker.
