The Midsomer Norton Town Team showed great success, in spite of the weather, at the Town Hall Fashion Show on Friday, 21st July.

The show was arranged to help promote Midsomer Norton and its traders and to put any money raised into an events fund for the town.

The evening showcased clothes from Jesse Beaus Too and gifts/jewellery from Out of Asia; both of which are located in the High Street.

The evening included a performance by new-to-the-area singer, Colin Bache, who had attendees left wanting more.

Lynda Guiney, from Jesse Beaus Too, said: “After many sleepless nights and worrying days, we got there. All the models were amazing, and coped with somewhat difficult changing facilities!

“As a result, many ideas for future Town Team hall-usage came up – a Tea Dance, Craft Fayre and Racing Evening were all mentioned. We achieved what we set out to do, which was to advertise the Town Hall, what it can do and what some of the shops can provide.

“This was not really a fundraising exercise, but an awareness evening. Having said that, after expenses, approximately £150 raised will go to the Town Team’s Christmas fund.”
