A party was held recently in memory of Viv Lane at which the outstanding sum of £2,435 was raised, which will go to Dorothy House Hospice and the RUH’s Forever Friends Appeal.

Nick Lane and his family, Court, Demi, Yazz, Perry and Milo would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us to make Viv’s Remembrance Party successful every year. Without all your help, we couldn’t do it!

Thank you to Claire Horn and the team at Paulton Rovers for letting us hold yet another successful charity event.

We would also like to say a massive thank you to the local band, Hair of the Dog, as well as Dave Meredith, James Hunter, Dave Riddle, Anthony Sheppard, Lewis Hand and Vince Meredith. Also Wayne Roberts and his son Kieran for the disco. Everyone enjoyed the music, laughing and dancing all night long!

The family would also like to take this opportunity to thank Gemma Button for organising the raffle prizes and collecting some great prizes. Also thank you Dan Button for collecting some great prizes too.

We would like to say thank you to all the people and companies, who donated raffle prizes.

Thank you to Demi Lane for organising, preparing and cooking the party food. Thanks also to Connie Lane, Emma Lane, Deb Rodd, Sally Higgins, Sharon Higgins/Atwell and Jayne Archer for cooking the food.

Also a massive thank you to Court Lane, Demi Lane, Yazz Lane, Dan Button, Shona Scrivens and Jade Kingman for decorating Paulton Rovers with 1970s, 80s and 90s decorations.

Thank you to Rob Riddle, who stayed on the door all night collecting tickets in exchange for wristbands.

Thank you to Gemma Rodd and Fay White for selling raffle tickets for most of the night – you were fantastic! A massive thank you to Graham Price for taking the photograph.

Roll on next year’s party in memory of a beautiful, loving lady, Viv Lane, who is missed very much. Always in our hearts.
