An enforced winter break did not go to waste for Midsomer Norton Men’s Walking Football group.
Although the recent lockdown saw them unable to play for a number of weeks, the members of the Walking Football group continued to raise funds through their subs and have made a very generation donation to the Community Food Network (CFN).
This allowed CFN to purchase two weeks’ worth of care bags for local residents, the first of which were handed out on Monday. The bags from CFN aim to cover around three days of meals and support those who may be struggling in these difficult times.
If you would like to make a donation, or are interested in receiving a care bag in future weeks, head to: www.facebook.com/CommunityFoodNetwork
With lockdown restrictions and sport back on the agenda, they are now back up and running and always welcoming new members. The Midsomer Norton Men’s Walking Football group meet every Tuesday and Thursday morning at Midsomer Norton Sports Centre, regardless of the weather conditions.
