Nicola Noble, her Jack Russell, Flo, and Lydia McGivern, from the RUH’s Forever Friends Appeal, were welcomed to Radstock last Wednesday afternoon on day three of their 100 mile walk to mark the tenth anniversary of the charity’s Walk of Life event, which took place last Saturday.

Nic, Flo and Lydia had an eventful week, meeting all of the local fundraising groups and inspirational people who have contributed to the Forever Friends Appeal, which is currently raising funds for a brand new Cancer Centre. Nic raised over £1,000 on her journey, and the trio even bumped into HRH The Duchess of Cornwall on their travels, quite by accident, after admiring her Jack Russell, Beth, and receiving the shock of their lives when they realised who the owner was! Each local fundraising group organised a different event to welcome the walkers, with the Midsomer Norton group holding a spinathon at the Radstock Co-operative store, which raised £322.39.
