On Tuesday, 17th March, The Wells Film Centre made the decision to temporary close its doors.
After the PM’s advice to avoid places such as bars, restaurants, theatres and cinemas, attendance to the local independent cinema dropped dramatically. Proprietor Sally Cooper has released the following statement: “While it is a sad time to say goodbye to our customers, the safety of our community, customers and staff comes first.
“At this time, we are unsure how long we will be closed, but we will be back as soon as we can. We will continue to update our website and social media platforms as any new information becomes available.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers, business partners and staff for all their support. As a community, we will get through this difficult time together. Stay safe and see you all soon.”
