Welton Village Group is now five-years-old and preparing for its Annual General Meeting which will be held on Wednesday, 12th October at 7.45 p.m. in the upper meeting room of Midsomer Norton Social Club.
It is expected that the formal agenda will be completed by 8.30 p.m., after which, those attending will be welcome to stay for an informal discussion reviewing and discussing any issues. The meeting is open to existing and potential members.
Volunteers from the group have continued to empty our two bins on the Greenway on a weekly basis and have also been active in mowing our village green and maintaining the environment. Sadly, the tasks are falling on a dwindling number of ageing volunteers and we need to encourage additional support.
In March, the group arranged and hosted an open meeting with the consultants, WPB, who were submitting an outline planning application for the former Welton Bibby and Baron site. The development of this area is possibly the most significant event in the future of our village, which we intend to monitor and update our members.
Welton Village Group is open to residents and anyone who has an interest in Welton and its environment. If that includes you, a warm welcome awaits you at our AGM.
