Westfield residents are invited to place a poppy in memory of their loved ones at the foot of the new memorial plaque at the top of Elm Tree Avenue.

Although Westfield doesn’t hold its own memorial service on Remembrance Day, residents have asked for somewhere that they could place a poppy, and the Parish Council have placed a simple tray filled with soil.

With the new memorial bench installed by kind donation from the Ward Councillors’ Initiative Fund, and the distinctive coal truck planter flourishing with pretty winter heather, residents have the opportunity to reflect on Remembrance at this important time of year.
