A number of Catholic churches closed in the area towards the end of last year, including Holcombe, Norton St Philip, Chilcompton and Radstock, in a move to bring congregations mainly to one place – St Benedict’s at Stratton-on-the-Fosse, with a small amount of services still taking place in Midsomer Norton’s historic Holy Ghost church.
