It has been a season of personal bests, shattered goals and podium-topping performances for a group of talented Writhlington School students.

Brothers Harri and Fin Collis have made exceptional progress in their chosen discipline of BMX racing this year.

Harri has ended the racing season as the British number five and his development has been recognised by being selected for the prestigious National School of Racing, the penultimate step before progressing to the Olympic Talent Team.

Harri now has two years to earn a place on the talent team ready for 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games.

Fin has shown great advances in his racing this year, moving from National number 24 to National number 13 this season and has qualified for the World Championships which takes place in France next season.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu martial artist, Cypress Hughes, has displayed extraordinary skill by winning two Silver and two Gold medals in a series of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu championships.

Cypress competed in the British Championships, The BJJ Junior European Championships and the GB Nationals, winning two Silver and two Gold while claiming the title of Boys Junior European Champion 2021.

Team Bath have welcomed Milly Applegate to their swim team, a prestigious swimming programme that will see Milly training alongside some of Britain’s top athletes and Olympic Medal winners. Milly has already been training hard and has her sights set on competition in the near future.
