Peasedown St John campaigner, Carenza Clifford, has begun an initiative to look at road safety with an event on Monday, 12th September to look at how we can be more aware on the road – whether we drive a car, motorbike or cycle.
Carenza is being supported by Parish Councillors, Jonathan Rich and Lesley Mansell, who heard of how Carenza lost her cousin in a motorcycle accident in 2014.
They are also concerned about the safety at the junction of the A367, of children who cycle in the village and pedestrians.
Carenza said: “I am passionate about raising awareness of safety for motorcyclists in general and recognise that we all use the roads, even if we only walk.”
The event will take place at Peasedown St John Cricket club from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. “Put the date in your diaries and look out for more details,” added Cllr Rich. “We are arranging for a number of different agencies to come along to give out information and advice.”
