A wonderful attendance of around forty people gave up their rainy Sunday to take part in a Zumbathon fundraiser in aid of Julian House, held at Writhlington Leisure Centre’s Tennis Courts.
Organiser, Bev Nichols, would like to say thank you so much to everyone that danced, whooped, gave it their all and raised lots of money for Julian House! Big thanks goes to Susie Lee and Chrissie Johnson for teaching your fabulous dances.
Massive thank you to Tracy, Jess, Sally and Ellie, for helping with setting up and the registration.
A big thank you to Writhlington Leisure’s Lotte, Fi, Matt, Nicky, Patrick and the Tennis Centre for all your help and allowing me to use the Tennis Courts.
Also, thank you to Stephen and his wife, Lyn Chesworth, the community and events fundraiser, for coming along to support the whole event and for talking about the great work that Julian House do to help within our local community.
Now in their thirtieth year, Julian House run lots of projects to help the most marginalised people in society to regain their self-confidence and take back control of their lives. From living on the streets, to seeking employment, Julian House services give life-changing, and often life-saving support.
Bev says: “Thank you to everyone that has sponsored me; I always appreciate your support. So far, we have a fantastic amount of £1,045 raised and pledged on sponsor forms to help the homeless in our local community. This is amazing.”
