I see from the local news that the speed limit on Lansdown Road in Bath is being reduced from 30mph to 20mph.

Would it not be a better idea to make the speed limit uniform within the city boundaries, say 25mph?  Everyone would know where they stood.

Exceptions being made for lower speeds near Schools and Hospitals etc. and high speeds for motorways where they pass through towns.

This idea could be applied in Radstock, and Midsomer Norton. No wondering if you are breaking the law with the multitude of speed signs to read.

This is done in America and it works.
