The Midsomer Norton & Radstock Rotary Club, wishes to express their gratitude to Paulton Rovers Football Club, for the very generous donation of football, rugby, and Astro turf boots, to help the Rotary Club kick-start their ‘Boot Swap’ programme, which was successfully launched on Saturday, 13th August, outside the Sainsbury’s in Midsomer Norton.
John Dando, Community Chairman for the Rotary Club said, “Because of the generosity of Paulton Rovers FC, we were able to get the Boot Swap off to an effective start, helping many families within our community swap out their children’s outgrown boots, all free of charge.
“We also owe thanks to Westfield Youth FC, for their significant donation of boots, and Sainsbury’s for their support; it’s wonderful to see the community coming together on projects such as this.”
The Boot Swap runs from 11:00am-1:00pm, each Saturday, through the remainder of August, and September, and the Rotary Club is asking for clean boots, in good condition, with laces.
Rotary was founded on fellowship, and gives one the opportunity to serve, the chance to collectively help others, and develop better local and international communities; it is richly rewarding.
