However, on such a dismal day there were a couple of bright moments. Roy Matthews had a hole in one on the Par three fifth hole and promptly came in having secured a total of ten points, five of them on that one hole!

The winner of the Eddie Jackman Trophy was the popular octogenarian, Steve Park, who had a remarkable score of forty three points and rumoured to have webbed feet.

Division One went to: Dave Harvey with thirty two, Antony Gilham with twenty six, Graham Bradley with twenty five and Rob Thain twenty five.

Division Two saw Steve Brixey with thirty, Geoff Cabral with thirty, Jim Farmer with twenty eight and Mel Field with twenty eight.

Division Three was Steve Park with forty three, Steve Banfield with thirty seven, Dave Cross with thirty three and Alan Smith with thirty one.

Friendly result at home to Long Sutton was a 5-1 victory to Farrington Park.
