Midsomer Norton won the toss and chose to bat first. Nick Pang and Alex Lear made an excellent start with a stand of 78 in 18 overs before Lear (22) was run out, backing up.
Martin Cox (80) maintained the scoring rate with Pang to the 30th over, when Pang was dismissed for a fine 86.
Ben and Sam Pine slowed the flow of runs somewhat and claimed four wickets between them before Tyrone Isitt returned to take the wicket of Cox. The remaining batsmen were unable to add significantly to the score, as Isitt finished with impressive figures of 5-18.
After tea, Norton took pace off the ball as Nick Potter (1-17) and Nick Pang (2-31) opened the bowling to good effect and restricted Frenchay to 30-1 in the ten over power-play. Pang then accounted for Reece Bevan (14), when Shailesh Bhondekar took a sharp chance at slip and claimed the prize wicket of Mike Donaldson (14). Opener Jordan Khan (47) stood firm, however, and added 54 with Isitt for the fourth wicket. Khan was bowled by Nick Cox (2-40) three runs short of a half-century and Bhondekar (1-21) had Dan Evans caught behind before the Pine brothers combined again to add 38 for the seventh wicket. Chris Phylips (2-23) then struck twice in his opening over and Chris Hampshire (2-17) also picked up two wickets to secure the win for Norton by 49 runs.
