TEMPLE Cloud Cricket Club have celebrated a standout week with victories across all senior sides, showcasing the club’s impressive depth and form.
The First XI stayed unbeaten with a dominant 79-run league win at Butleigh. Gary Filer (56), Charlie Thompson (35), and Dan Nolan (40*) powered the team to 209-9. The bowlers then dismissed Butleigh for 130, with wickets shared between Charlie Thompson, Rob Head, Reece Croker and Andrew Mortimer.
The 2nd XI overcame Bear Flat 1st XI by 22 runs in a tight contest. Simon Curtis starred with 99 and 2-18, while openers Hayne and Curtis added 73. Brooks and Appleyard rattled Bear Flat’s top order before the visitors fell short at 184-9.
In midweek action, Temple’s Mid Week XI beat University of Bath 4th XI in a thrilling final-over chase. Jason Head (39) set the tone before Hayne and Brooks saw it home. Max Steeds hit the winning runs with one ball left.
