Paulton were made to rue missed chances as Bedworth levelled in added time. The Greeenback’s 3G pitch suited Rovers’ passing game and after Aaron Brown found Sol Wheatley, his shot was blocked.

Paulton took the lead on eleven minutes as Wheatley broke down the right and his cross was thumped home by left winger, Nuno Felix.

Felix charged through after twenty minutes and a golden opportunity went begging, as instead of running on, he shot from the edge of the box straight into the hands of United keeper, Denhom Hinds. Six minutes later, Mario Mateus had a drive deflected and over Hinds for a corner. A rare Bedworth attack ended with weak header from Aron Wint and as the half ended, Matues outpaced the home defence and shot wide across the goal.

Bedworth came out determined, although they could not penetrate Rovers’ defence and Dave O’Hare and Captain, Darrren Mullings, were able to start attacks from midfield. Wint twice had chances and O’Hare found Felix, who, despite having his shirt pulled, was just off target with his cross shot.

John cut out several deep crosses into the box and in time added on a corner from the right by Elliott Parrott, with all eleven Bedworth players in the penalty area. Hinds met the ball and deflected into the path of Richard Bryan to break Rovers’ hearts.

On Saturday, 30th January, Rovers are home to Hitchin Town, kick-off at 3 p.m., with an away match against Cirencester Town on Tuesday, 2nd February, kick-off at 7.45 p.m.
