Freda Hookings MBE Memorial Trophy match

Tunley Athletic FC challenge Westhill Sports in the Freda Hookings MBE Memorial Trophy match, at the Tunley Recreation Ground, this Saturday, 4th August, kick off 3 p.m.

This is the fourteenth time that Tunley have played against a local club, following the death of Freda Hookings, past President of Tunley Athletic Football Club for over 40 years, and first female Vice President of the Somerset FA.

The trophy was given by her family in her memory and to be played for by Tunley against local football clubs in a pre-season match.

Freda was awarded the MBE in the Millennium New Year’s Honours list for services to Tunley Athletic FC.

A bar and refreshments will be available at the ground during and after the game. This is organised by Freda’s family and members of the club.

All are welcome to attend and any proceeds will go to the Tunley club’ funds.
