Warminster Town Ladies 2 Paulton Rovers Ladies 2

Paulton Rovers Ladies returned from Warminster Town with a hard fought point following an entertaining 2–2 draw.

On a heavy pitch the visitors played into the cold wind first but took the game to their hosts. The defence of Davis, Box and Captain Bollema snubbed out any Warminster attack and Paulton played some great stuff going forward.

Rouemaine opened the scoring after fourteen minutes with a great left-footed shot from the edge of the area to give Paulton a well deserved lead. The visitors continued to create chances throughout the opening period, but were unable to add to their lead, and defensively restricted the hosts to a single shot on target.

The second half saw Warminster turn things around within ten minutes. Their speedy striker finished well on 49 minutes and then earned a penalty minutes later which was scored from a follow-up after Keeper Jones saved the initial shot. Wilkinson was then reintroduced and equalised for Paulton from the edge of the area midway through the second half. Chances were missed at both ends and the home keeper pulled off numerous saves to gain her team a point in a game that could have gone either way but should have been out won by half-time.
