PAULTON ROVERS 0 NORTH LEIGH 3
North Leigh dominated and deservedly took the points with three second half goals.
Eric Odihambo and George Seacole both tested Rovers’ keeper, Ed Baldy, but Paulton nearly took the lead on sixteen minutes as Kailan Gould picked up loose ball from keeper, Connor Thompson, only for Wayne Turk to brake his progress.
Baldy then saved from Morgan Williams and the stopper easily held two free kicks from Stuart Hole and Williams.
On 37 minutes, Will Hailston hit a deep cross from the left, and found George Brimson, whose header looped over the crossbar.
From Gould’s corner on the right, defender, Joe Chandler, headed narrowly wide. North Leigh, ‘The Millers’, had a great move on half-time as McNish, Cook and Williams combined, but fizzled out.
The visitors took the lead on the restart after a cross from the right wing from Odihambo was thumped home by Jamie Cook.
Ian Parkes fired the ball over as Paulton responded. North Leigh brought on Roger James after sixty minutes and he made an immediate impact with a deep cross from the left, firmly met by Cook to grab his second.
Baldy was again busy, stopping Williams and Cook from adding to the tally. However, it was 3–0 on 72 minutes as another substitute, Matt Woodley, crossed for Captain, Stuart Hole to turn home unmarked.
Rovers battled to the end and Hailston belted wide and Ricketts set up Hailston, whose shot was turned by keeper, Connor Thompson, for a corner
