Purnell Sports U13s travelled to Wedmore this week for a physical game, with both teams defending well and tackling hard.
Wedmore took the lead, but Purnell battled back when Maddy scored from the edge of the box after a corner. Wedmore were quick on the counter-attack and scored two more goals, making it 3-1 at half-time.
Purnell kept fighting, despite going 4-1 down. Two goals from Jasmine brought the final score to 4-3. The player of the match was Ruby, for great defensive play.
