DORCHESTER TOWN 6 PAULTON ROVERS 0

Tuesday, 27th October 2015

Paulton were hit for six with a low par performance made worse after Saturday’s draw against Leamington.

With Dorchester’s first attack on five minutes, they took the lead with a break down the left and Charlie Davies shot home, despite keeper, Ben John, getting a hand.

Rovers lost left back, Jack Allward, on fourteen minutes as the Magpies began to get on top. They were spreading the ball down the wings and had the upperhand in midfield.

Just when it looked as though they could see out the half, Bradley Tarbuck crossed from the left and home striker, Jonah Ayunga, thumped the ball home on 44 minutes.

Two minutes after the restart, Town scored through a deflected shot from Ben Watson which sailed into the net and it was 4-0 two minutes later as a cross from the right by Davies saw John save from Ayunga, only for Watson to tuck the ball home.

After 65 minutes, a poor back header was fastened on by Watson to complete his hat trick.

Rovers had rare attacks and Tom Knighton drove narrowly over the bar. Watson continued to threaten and John pulled out two goood saves.

Two minutes from time, Portsmouth loanee, Tarbuck, won a tackle and drove a shot from the edge of the penalty area to make it 6-0.
