WEYMOUTH 1 PAULTON ROVERS Match Abandoned

Paulton Rovers’ match at Weymouth in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup was abandoned after sixty minutes with the score level at 1-1 after torrential rain rendered the pitch unplayable and the referee had no alternative but to call the game off.

So it’s try again on Tuesday this week, with a 7.45 p.m. kick-off. The coach will leave the club at 4.30 p.m.

The Terriers took the lead on twenty minutes after a misplaced pass was latched onto by Adam Rodriguez, who fed Ben Thomson to strike past Paulton keeper, Ed Baldy.

Rovers responded to equalise on forty minutes, as Jordan Ricketts was fouled on the left and Conor O’Sullivan swung over a peach of a free kick for Joe Chandler to level.
