The Mid-Somerset Football League have the following teams going through to the next round of the Somerset Junior Cup after last week’s results: Frome Collegians, Westhill Sports, Westfield Reserves and Coleford Athletic.

In the Premier League, Peasedown Albion put six past Pilton at home, with a hat-trick from Rico Sobers and goals from Dan Hucker, Scott Baker and Lee Smith.

The Second Division saw leaders, High Littleton, pegged back at home, losing 2–1 to Chew Magna Reserves, who are just one point behind them now. Peasedown Albion Reserves had a very good Away win at Somer Valley, 4–0, with goals from Harrison Nash (2), Henry Steeds and Hayden Campbell. Evercreech at home played out a 1–1 draw with Clutton Reserves.

Wessex maintain their unbeaten record and stay top of the League at home to Saltford Reserves, winning 8–1; Belrose stay second with a 5–2 win away to local rivals, Glastonbury Reserves; Timsbury A found Weston Bath too strong for them, losing 3–0 Away; and Farrington Gurney had a good home win against Westhill Sports Reserves, winning 4–1.

Frome Collegians Reserves move to the top of the Third Division after a hard-fought 5–3 win away to Charlton Utd, and Chilcompton Utd stay second, after a 3–0 Away win at Westfield A – getting the goals for them were Rob Peppard, Ant Horner and Glen Witts.

A very good Pilton Reserves side beat Chilcompton A, 5–1 at home; Old Crown at home drew 1–1 with Evercreech Reserves; and Peasedown A ended Mendip Rangers’ unbeaten League run, beating them 2–0 with a twenty-yard chip goal from Luke Seviour and a great strike from Sam Carey.

It is reported the youngsters of the Home team played some delightful football all afternoon, and that Rangers had a player sent off.
