The Toolstation Western League fixtures are out and both Welton Rovers and Radstock Town will start 2020/21 season away from home. The Green Army will travel to Longwell Green, with the Miners travelling into Wiltshire to face Warminster Town. The new season starts on 5th September, following the Government’s announcement that a limited number of fans are now allowed back into non-league football grounds.
Welton kick off their home campaign against Devizes Town on the evening of Tuesday, 8th September, whilst Radstock fans will need to wait a day later for their first game at Southfields, when they entertain Sherbourne Town on 9th September.
Key dates for the diary include the traditional Boxing Day derby match between Welton and Radstock, taking place this year at West Clewes. The return match is scheduled for Good Friday, 2nd April 2021, at Southfields Recreation Ground.
To celebrate their exceptional work and sacrifice during the Coronavirus pandemic, Toolstation Western League Clubs have agreed to offer NHS staff free entry to all League matches this season. Those wishing to make use of this special offer will be required to show a valid form of NHS identification at the turnstile.
Since 2015 the Toolstation Western League has run a scheme whereby serving members of the Armed Forces can gain entry to league games on production of a military ID card. The NHS scheme will run at least until the end of the 2020/21 season, with Clubs able to extend the offer further if they wish.
