With the advent of Spring, the golfers at Fosseway will be hoping for an improvement in the weather – for the last couple of months they have had to put up with very difficult playing conditions, but have still managed to complete quite a few competitions.
In the Winter League, the final will be between last year's winner, Phil Winsley, and young Ben Josham. The January Medal was well supported despite the weather, with quite a number of seniors taking part with Cyril Blacker (being one of them) winning Division Two. The February Medal saw Dave Josham being the winner of Division One and Kev Gill winning Division Two.
The Charity Trophy was (as one would expect) very well supported, with a couple of our senior colleagues, Ken Tucker and Frank Reeves, being the winners.
The Spring Greensomes was won by the father and son pairing of Mike and Rob Emery. The Chairman's Bowmaker, a team event, was won by R. Parfitt, B. Josham and G. Bidmead. It is good to see Ken Hillier back playing again and showing he's not lost his touch!
