Mendip’s hopes of a top three finish took a knock on Saturday, as they lost out to a physical Firebrands outfit.
Mendip worked hard and created chances throughout the game, but fortune favoured the home side, who scored three times without reply to secure the win. Mendip’s Player of the Match was defender, Cherilyn Carey, who put in some excellent tackles.
