The Men's AGM was held recently at Farrington Park. This was a chance for members of the Men's section to hear the outgoing Captain, Kevin Brimble's report on the successes of the Men's section, as well as see the election of new officers.
Some of the highlights mentioned in the report included the charity golf marathon where four rounds of golf was played by 32 players in June. Over £9,000 was raised on the day, contributing towards the Joint Captains' Charity Appeal for the RUH.
The two major 36 hole competitions of the season brought success to Dave Jewell in the Max Stone Chalice and Liam Copp won the Club Championship. Congratulations were also due to both league teams on gaining promotion in the Bristol and District League and the Avalon League respectively. With the men's section still growing, Kevin thanked all members for their support and wished incoming captain, Paul Thomas, all the best.

The Children in Need competition attracted fifty ladies dressed in primary or Pudsey Bear spotted colours. Tennessee Waltz scoring is one score to count on the first hole, two on the second and three on the third, which is repeated for the remaining eighteen holes. The winning team were Sue Stilwell, Liz Thomas and Pauline Brixey, with 70 points (on countback). Second were Karen Wills, Suzanne Young and Gillian Seaward, also with 70 points, and third were Peta Romaine, Lo Dallocco and Angela Hudd, with 69 points.
