Thursday, 19th December saw 35 ladies take part in the Ladies Section's last competition of the year, a Festive Fun Competition.

The competition was played as a Three Ball Bowmaker with the best two scores to count on all holes, apart from par threes which were all multiplier holes. Clare Salter, Heather Woodland and Wendy Butt came first with 97 points. June Symonds, Corina Bates and Brenda Whitchurch came second with 89 points. Nadine Spong, Marjorie Robinson and Bridget Bylance came third with 77 points. Terri O'Shea had a two spot on the tenth hole. Bronze players' nearest the pin on the fifth hole was won by Gill Russell and Silver players' nearest the pin on the eighth hole was won by Wendy Butt. Aimee Sawyer had the Silver players' longest drive off the thirteenth tee. Gill Russell had the Bronze players' longest drive off the eighteenth tee. The team with the most multiplier points was June Symonds, Corina Bates and Brenda Whitchurch.

Farrington Park Seniors played their last Wednesday Competition of 2013 in what became an extreme variety of conditions, but this did not spoil the event which was a Three Ball Tennessee Waltz with alternatively one, two, then three players' scores to count. Results of the nearest the pin competitions: 5th Dave Metcalfe, 8th Mike Hedges, 14th Brian Brown, 15th Rob Thain. Match Results: 1st Mike Hedges, David Brown and Mike Henton, 73 points. 2nd Brian Brown, Nigel Punchard and Richard Curtis, 69 points (countback). 3rd Ken Hutton, Tony James and Malcolm Brooks, 69 points. 4th John Butler, Richard Clarke and Tom Aisbitt, 68 points and 5th, Brian Weeks, Jeff Kelly and John Holland, 67 points.
