On Sunday, 22nd June, Farrington Park's Mixed Section welcomed five pairs from Orchardleigh for a Mixed Friendly Greensomes match. Farrington Park's team did the course justice, winning the match by 3.5 to Orchardleigh's 1.5.

Ten couples played at Farrington Park in the first round of the Brittany Ferries Mixed Pairs Challenge, trying to have the chance of qualifying for the regional final at Honiton Golf Club, in August. The competition was played as a Stableford Greensomes, some great scores were attained with Paul and Liz Thomas taking third place, scoring 39 points. Mike and Min Woodward were second, with forty points. The overall winners who will represent Farrington Park at Honiton were Steve and Jane Ball, with 43 points.

Farrington Park Ladies On Thursday, 19th June, fifteen teams, each with three players, competed in a Five Clubs and a Putter fun competition.

Each player was restricted to any five clubs of their choice, plus a putter, and the competition was played as a Three Ball Bowmaker with the best two Stableford scores to count on each hole, par for a team was 72 Stableford points. Liz Thomas, Pauline Brixey and Carol Jones came third, with eighty Stableford points. Jill Eade, Maureen Charlton and Pauline Young were runners-up, with 83 Stableford points.

Didi Ager (Lady Captain), Elaine Davidson and Brenda Michael came first with a score that topped the giddy heights of the day's lofty scores, a staggering 89 Stableford points. Lynchpin of the team, Elaine Davidson, had her best-ever golf round, singlehandedly scoring 47 of the team's points, shooting a gross 95, eleven shots below her handicap. Didi Ager and June Symonds had two spots on the fifth and tenth holes.

Farrington Park Men Saturday Stableford 14/6/14. With the course getting drier and the ball running a long way, Nigel Denham was on top form, winning Division One, with 41 points. In-form Mike Goodliff was second, with 39, John Russell was a close third, with 38 points.

Division Two's Mike Hogg was first with an outstanding 42 points, John Gregory's 39 points secured second place and Steve Symonds was third, with 38.

Farrington Park Seniors staged their annual Jubilee Cup Medal Competition after a fortnight's delay.
