On Friday evening, Prattens Bowls Club held their AGM at the bowls clubhouse. The first item on the agenda was to donate a cheque for £320 to the Great Western Air Ambulance which was the club charity for last year. Penny Weir came along to receive the cheque from Club Chair, Barrie Dando, and to explain how the money would be used.
The main part of the meeting then got underway with reports from all of the officers of the club and the elections to fill all of the committee and officer's posts. There was only one nominee for each post, so they were elected en bloc unanimously.
It was also discussed whether it should be agreed to allow a rink to be reserved for the playing of club and county competition matches during the Monday evening club night to facilitate the scheduling of competition ties. It was agreed to give this a one-season trial.
The meeting ended with the unveiling of a new club flag.
