A few weeks ago (Issue no. 2170), The Journal published a story about Tony Perfect’s 100 mile walking challenge, involving thirty-five rugby clubs across the West of England.
Tony, a former Nailsea & Backwell rugby player, took on the challenge to walk to each rugby club on his route between the 2nd and 4th of March in memory of his friend Cheryl, who passed away last year. Tony Perfect’s original fundraising target for local charity Sporting Family Change was £1,500. He has since surpassed this massively, raising a total of £5,197.50 so far.
The fundraiser for the challenge is still open online. If you’d like to get involved with donating, visit: https://localgiving.org/appeal/TonyWalks/.
