The Dunkerton WI was formed in July 1936 in Dunkerton Parish Hall. On Tuesday, 9th November 2021 we met for the 85th AGM!

The evening started as usual with the business which included reports on the last WI walk and the Harvest meeting.

We were very pleased to welcome two new members.

A formal AGM followed where the committee was elected – most of the 2021 committee were happy to continue in their role. The Annual report was presented which reminded us of the ups and downs of the past year.

The members agreed to giving the money raised at our fundraising efforts to two local charities, Young Carers and SWALLOW.

Following the formality of the meetings, one of our members, Cathy, devised a quiz which involved not only general knowledge but tasting and observational skills.

We were treated to a delicious 85th birthday cake baked by Elisabeth.

We look forward now to a Christmas meal at the King William pub, followed by our Camdyke group Carol service on December 10th at St Peter’s Church, Camerton and our regular Christmas meeting on 14th December.
