It was a full house on Saturday night at Paulton Junior School for a production by PADS (Paulton Amateur Dramatic Society), of a war-time play based on the story of the Pye and Stott family.

The event was also attended by the Chair of B&NES Council, Cllr Cherry Beath and her husband, Dick, who performed a solo on the night, singing a well known song from ‘Oh! What a lovely War’.

The cast’s performance also included several moving poetry reaadings, followed by a rousing sing song of well-known WWI songs. An excellent war-time themed buffet was provided by the Red Lion, Paulton.
