Local resident, Tasha Dix and her family, will be hosting a Fun Day at Temple Cloud Village Hall and football field on 23rd July from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., raising money for the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal.
The Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal is a charity campaign set up to support Bristol Children’s Hospital. Tasha and her family are hoping to raise money for the appeal after her nephew was treated at the hospital after contracting meningitis.
She said: “My nephew, Morgan, was just 13 months old when he had meningitis.
“We were told at the RUH to expect the worst and he was transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital, where doctors and nurses worked their magic and saved his life.
“It doesn’t matter how much money we raise, we can never thank them enough for saving his life, but at least we can help them save other children’s lives.”
The event starts from 2 p.m. at Temple Cloud Village Hall and will feature live entertainment, children’s activities, a raffle and more, with all funds going to the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal.
