Bank Holiday week sees a flurry of events for adults and children at Radstock Museum.

On Saturday, 24th August, from 11.30 a.m. – 2 p.m. you can bring your fossils along to show local fossil expert, Simon Carpenter, who will identify them, as well as give away some fossils he has collected.

Then, from 2 – 4 p.m., adults and children can have fun making objects with Fimo, a type of modeling clay, with pottery and Fimo expert, Sue Mills.

The ‘Milestone Society’ will also be at the museum that afternoon to explain the history and preservation of the quirky lumps of rusty metal and rock sitting by the roadside.

Then, on Thursday, 29th August, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, the museum is holding its summer children’s arts and crafts morning, ’The Victorians Go Travelling Abroad’, with lots of activities for children of all ages to have a go at and a free cupcake for every child.

Radstock Museum would like to thank the experts and volunteers for giving their time, free of charge, to put on these events for our community and for supporting the museum.
