It's not just Radstock that is celebrating horticultural success. Groups in Midsomer Norton have also been awarded various accolades.
The Friends of Silver Street Nature Reserve have received the Green Flag Award again this year – this is given to recognise the achievement of an outstanding green space.
The Nature Reserve have also been presented with the RHS' It's Your Neighbourhood Level 4 Thriving Award. Last year, the group achieved a Level 3 Developing, so they are really pleased that they are moving in the right direction.
On Saturday, 22nd September, volunteers completed another section of the woodland pathway. The pathway is being put in place to protect the woodland floor and to help make the journey through the woods more accessible. The reserve is home to many wild creatures and their needs are always foremost in the group's thoughts when they carry out any tasks.
