Seven members of the Cam Valley Arts Group ran workshops in their particular art or craft speciality at a recent event in Timsbury.

Local people were able to try their hand at one of these activities: Calligraphy, Willow work, Painting with Acrylics, Silver work, Ceramics, Lino cutting and printing, or Decoupage.

Over fifty people joined the group on the day and judging by some of the comments made, thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Mandy said, of Decoupage: “Absorbing and inspiring.” Gabrielle commented, about Ceramics: “Very inspiring, so happy with my creations.”

These workshops are now in their fourth year and it looks as though they will be an annual event, since those who at- tend ask what will be on next year!

Karen George, Chair of the group, said: “The members of our group all feel that it is good to share our skills and encourage people in our community to try out a new skill, art is fun!”
