THE Somersetshire Coal Canal Society is looking for a friendly, organised, and enthusiastic volunteer to join its committee.

A spokesperson said: “You will be at the heart of our public programme, shaping the walks and talks that keep our canal’s story alive.

“You do not need to be an expert.

“Interest and enthusiasm matter more than specialist knowledge.

“If you are organised, proactive, and enjoy making things happen, you will fit right in.”

The role would be perfect for somebody who likes organising and making things happen, communicates confidently with a range of people, enjoys heritage, canals, or industrial history, and wants to contribute meaningfully to their community.
