Avon Fire & Rescue Service are encouraging aspiring on-call firefighters to ‘have a go’ at upcoming events to be held at Paulton and Chew Magna Fire Stations.

The sessions will give those interested in beomcing on-call firefighters the chance to try some of the tests that trainee firefighters complete during the recruitment process.

Those interested must live within five minutes of the on-call stations.

Tickets for a range of two hour sessions on both sites need to be booked in advance, with Paulton’s event taking place on 19th May (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/afrs-have-a-go-day-paulton-tickets-150051842099) and Chew Magna’s on 20th May
