A SERIES of events will take place in Timsbury from January to mark 200 years since St Mary’s Church was rebuilt in the Gothic style.

The anniversary marks the transformation of the building into the church as it is known today, following its reconstruction in 1825.

A series of events will begin with a talk in the church on January 16 about people and places that feature in the history of Timsbury by villager Larry Cunningham.

This will be Larry’s third talk drawing on research he has undertaken and, to help raise funds for the maintenance and repair of the church, he has incorporated material from all three talks into a book: People, Places and Things associated with the history and landscape of Timsbury.
