Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 12.10am February 24 to 4.50am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Bath and A36 Bath to Beckington used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome / Westbury to Chippenham route.

A36, from 9.30am February 22 to 11.59pm February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton traffic lights in place for emergency Wales and West Utilities work.

A36, from 8am February 5 to 5pm March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A4, from 9pm February 29 to 6am March 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 both directions Cold Ashton roundabout to London Road roundabout carriageway closure for electrical works, diversion for southbound, via A420, A350, A4. For northbound, follow the same in reverse.

A46, from 8am March 1 to 4pm March 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Tadwick Verge works for horticulture.

A36, from 12.10am March 2 to 4.50am March 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Bath and A36 Bath to Beckington used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome / Westbury to Chippenham route.

A4, from 9am March 7 to 4pm March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road Rbt to Box Rbt lane closure for horticulture.

A4, from 9am March 11 to 4pm March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 westbound, Box Rbt to London Road Rbt lane closure for horticulture.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
