Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause major delays – with drivers facing a wait of at least half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 6am March 1 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both direction Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights for carriageway works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 9pm May 19 to 6am May 20, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road, Limpley Stoke at Scotland Rocks, carriageway closure between Church Lane and B3108 for carriageway renewal, southbound, diversion via - A36, A4, A350 and A361, northbound, diversion via - A361, A350 and A4.

A4, from 9pm May 27 to 6am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 westbound, Bathford roundabout to London Road roundabout - carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via - London Road East, London Road West and rejoin A46.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
