Midsomer Norton resident, Susan Hughes, is holding a book-signing event to celebrate the release of her first novel, Not Quite Cinderella.
The novel was released on 31st August by Austin Macauley Publishers, and is available in Waterstones and online at amazon.com.
Susan said: “The book is about three girls who work on reception together. Amber, who after finding out her fiancé of 24 hours has been cheating on her, decides that men are strictly off the agenda. That is until Tom Tranter arrives on the scene. What follows are a series of unfortunate events, always involving an item of her footwear, (but not a glass slipper) that lead her to love again.
“The book is true chick-lit. It will make you laugh, with romance and plenty of saucy bits, and of course, everyone loves a happy ending. It has taken some years, and was a labour of love. I really enjoyed writing it.”
The signing takes place at Object, The Hollies, Midsomer Norton on Saturday, 21st October, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
