Well done to Kay Sage, from Midsomer Norton, who very bravely took part in a Tandem Skydive from 15,000 feet last Saturday, 9th August, raising £1,073 for the Alzheimer's Society.
Kay has managed to raise the money in just five weeks, when she made the decision to book the skydive at Honiton Airfield. She explains: "Over a year ago, my dad was having difficulty with his memory. After several tests and a brain scan, it showed he may have the early stages of Alzheimer's. My mum didn't cope very well with the news and made herself ill with worry. Luckily, my sister, brother and myself have our own amazing families and friends who helped us through the toughest year of our lives.
"I decided I would like to raise money for Alzheimer's, so booked up the skydive! All of my family and friends sponsored me and I raised a fantastic amount.
"Doing the skydive was the most terrifying and amazing experience, all rolled into one! Thankfully, I had Reg strapped to me, who was a great guy and knew when to pull the cord!
"Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me and helped me raise so much for the Alzheimer's Society."
