The annual Cam Valley Arts Trail at the start of November drew hundreds of people to view the work of local artisans in the thirteen venues across the villages of the valley.

This was a perfect opportunity for visitors to both view the original, local and affordable works of art produced by local artists and crafters, but also to buy some unique early Christmas gifts.

The community were also treated to a range of free taster workshops in such topics as: Dorset Button making, Decoupage, silver-smithing, wood gilding, macro photography, Batik, decorating a ceramic blackbird and lino printing.

Karen George, Chair of the group, said: “We were delighted by the number of people who came to support us, new faces and old friends.

“We are also thankful to all our advertisers and grant providers, without whom we would struggle to put on such a wide-ranging Community Arts Trail.”

Look out for information on a day’s workshops on Saturday, 2nd March 2019 and the Spring Exhibition on Saturday, 4th May.
